Registered Nurse – Endo/GI

Job Description

• Work in the Endoscopy/GI lab performing an average of 3-5 procedures per day, including emergency cases.
• Common procedures include EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, MRCP, and biopsies.
• Varied 8-hour shifts during day and evening.
• Call required: one evening shift per week (from end of regular shift to 7:00 AM) and one weekend per month (48 hours).
• Floating required to PACU/ACU.
• Charge nurse responsibilities expected.
• Floor-specific orientation provided (2-3 days).
• Start time depends on first case; arrive 1 hour before case.
• Special scrubs provided by department.
• Hospitalist or intensivist available in-house.
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7.
• No IV team on site.
• COVID vaccine required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy nursing experience.
• Active California RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.
• Moderate sedation experience required (if anesthesia is not available).
• Prior experience with Cerner charting preferred.

Additional Information

• Weekend and holiday call required as needed.
