Contract

• 26 weeks
• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Evening shift
• Every other weekend
• No call requirement
• May include holidays based on department needs
• Travelers are scheduled by the scheduling manager; time-off requests may be reviewed and approved or denied
• Block scheduling may be accommodated

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• ENPC or PALS
• TNCC or TNS
• Negative drug screen required
• Must provide the last four digits of SSN and middle initial for submission

Experience

• General nursing experience preferred
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment preferred

Clinical Setting

• Emergency department
• Level 1 trauma center
• 65 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3-5, depending on acuity and department needs
• Cares for patients from newborns to elderly, including critical patients, strokes, heart attacks, and stabilized trauma patients

Additional Notes

• ED nurses should be able to interpret and act on cardiac rhythms
• Nurses and techs draw labs
• Respiratory therapists assist with ventilator and related equipment
• Floating is rare and, if needed, would be as a help-all on another unit
• No specific scrub color required
