Job Opportunity: MedSurg RN (6E Unit) - Omaha, Nebraska

Position Overview

Specialty: MedSurg (Medical-Surgical) Nursing
Unit: 6E (MedSurg/Oncology overflow)
Patient Types: MedSurg patients, oncology med/surg overflow, post-OR recovery patients
Float: May float within scope as needed
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5

Requirements

Minimum Specialty Experience: 1 year MedSurg nursing experience required
Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers are welcome
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%
- Driver’s license required at time of application to verify distance compliance (within 50 miles radius)
- Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply will result in contract termination

Work Details

Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Equipment Familiarity: Nasal cannula and other standard respiratory therapy equipment used on the floor

Contract Length

13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
