• Shift: 12-hour shifts

Job Description

• Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and standards of nursing practice.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum Experience: 3 years of Med-Surg background with critical thinking skills.
• Licensure/Certifications:

  • Active Alaska state RN license
  • Heart Saver AED Certification
  • BLS Certification (must be AHA)

Equipment Utilized

• Meditech
• OBIX
• Pyxis Supply Stations

Unit Information

• Bed Size: 31
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: Per national standard
• Dress Code: Scrubs (provided)

Training and Orientation

• 3-day training for Meditech and OBIX
• Unit-specific orientation
• Medication Testing required within the first two weeks on site

Additional Information

• Experience with EPIC charting is preferred.
• Candidates should indicate any required time off during the assignment.
