Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to patients. This role involves collaboration with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Coordinate and manage care for patients, including those with complex needs.
• Deliver effective communication to engage patients and families.
• Delegate and supervise nursing tasks in accordance with state practice acts.
• Maintain productive working relationships within the healthcare team.
• Promote a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.

Essential Functions

• Adhere to legal regulations and organizational policies regarding patient health information.
• Perform age-related patient assessments and nursing interventions.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Licensure: Active RN license in South Dakota or compact state.
• Certifications:

  • Active BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
  • Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - American Heart Association
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience.
• Skills: Computer charting experience (EPIC) is preferred.
• Flexibility: Willingness to float to any Med Surg or Tele unit as requested.

• Navy Blue scrubs
