Overview

• Travel assignment in Salt Lake City, Utah
• Unit: PCU
• 34 beds
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Utah
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Chest tube management
• High-flow oxygen therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP management
• Post-cardiac procedure patient care
• Rapid response participation

Unit Details

• Patient ratio: 4:1
• Charge nurse without assignment when census allows
• Patient Care Technicians available on each shift
• Dedicated telemetry monitoring support
• Float within competency

Clinical Skills / Experience

• Telemetry interpretation
• Management of cardiac, neuro, and Progressive Care Unit patients
• Management of vasoactive drips within PCU/IMC scope
• Chest tubes
• High-flow oxygen therapy, Bipap, Cpap
• Post-cardiac procedure patients
• Rapid response participation
• TEE/Cardioversions

Scheduling

• 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period
• Holiday rotation

Equipment / Monitoring

• Continuous cardiac monitoring
• High-flow nasal cannula
• PCA pumps
• Alaris IV infusion pumps
