Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Employment Type

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

Work on a 42-bed Heart Failure / Stroke Unit specializing in neurological and cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke.
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients.
Team collaborates closely with cardiologists and neurologists to provide specialized care.

Schedule & Hours

Every other weekend required.
Holidays as required.
36 or 48 hours per week available.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Licenses

Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama

Certifications

BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Certification

Experience

Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year

Additional Information

Position is patient-facing.
Not a remote position.
Clinical role.
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
Parking available.
