Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Missouri
• LPN / LVN (1 year of experience)
• LPN / LVN experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• IV Certification
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Driver's License
• Med Surg experience

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Weekend coverage as required by the facility, every other weekend
• No call required
• Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
• RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end
• Holiday RTO: 1 request per assignment
• Blocked scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements

Clinical Setting

• Surgical stepdown unit
• Patient mix includes post-op surgical patients, trauma, and high-acuity medical patients
• Patient ratio: 1:5/6
• 29 beds

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for travelers from November 1 to April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Black scrubs required
• Must meet unit physical demands, including standing and walking most of the time, lifting and turning patients with assistance, and pushing/pulling/gripping up to 50 lbs
