Medical Technologist – Lab

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Certification required: ASCP or AMT. Certifications must be in hand at time of submission.
• Medical Technologist experience of at least 2 years, including experience within the last year

Unit and Assignment

• Unit: Laboratory (Main Hospital building)
• Number of beds: 330
• Equipment: Siemens Atellicas, Sysmex XN line, Sysmex CS2500s, Abbott DxU, TEG6, Cepheid
• Possible department assignments: Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, front end Microbiology (plating, rapid testing), and specimen receiving/specimen processing
• Travelers are typically trained to cover either hematology/front end micro or chemistry/front end micro. Department assignment may depend on other available staff skill sets.

Schedule

• Overnights, 4 ten-hour shifts, 9 pm to 7 am
• Most overnight techs work stretches that include stretches for their days off
• Schedule flexibility if the applicant prefers another schedule
• Every other weekend coverage

Dress Code

• Scrubs
• Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. No shoes with holes (e.g., Crocs).
• Lab coats and other PPE are provided onsite
