Registered Nurse - Dialysis (Travel Contract)
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Schedule Details:
- Weekend rotation required
- Call required approximately 1 evening shift per week (7 PM – 7 AM)
- Call required 1 Sunday every 6 weeks
Unit Overview
- Dialysis unit with multiroom and bedside setups
- Patient ratios:
- Multiroom: 2 patients per nurse
- Bedside: 1 patient per nurse
- Equipment used: Tablo, Prismax, Amia
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
- Permanent positions available on the unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with Intermittent Hemodialysis (IHD), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Intermittent Hemodialysis (IHD), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) is preferred
Work Environment & Culture
- Dress code: Navy scrubs required
- Flexible personality fit preferred
- Staffing:
- Day shift includes Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNC) and staffing based on census
- Night shift has rotating staff
- The unit values teamwork and offers exposure to advanced dialysis technology
