Provide routine and complex nursing care in a Level 4 NICU, caring for patients ranging from feeder growers to complex ICU neonatal patients.
Practice independently with awareness of all relevant clinical aspects.
Manage clinical situations by making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers.
Deliver care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekend requirement: 4 weekends per six weeks, including two Mondays and two Fridays

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

New experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
New hires receive preceptorship by trained staff and must complete organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency validations
Completion of all annual competency verification requirements

This is a full-time travel assignment in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care unit.
