Job Title: Nurses, Registered
Location: Pilgrim Psychiatric Center, 998 Crooked Hill Road, Brentwood, NY 11717

Schedule and anticipate length of assignment: This position will fill in for other staff, and schedule will vary. Shifts are generally 6:50AM-3:50PM, 3:50PM-11:50PM and 11:50PM-7:50AM. At times a 12-hour shift is also available. This assignment is expected to last up to 2 years.

Job Duties: Unit RNs provide professional nursing services to individuals diagnosed with mental illness. Services may include, but are not limited to, nursing interventions and nursing documentation; medication administration; maintaining inventory standards for medicine, controlled drugs, and narcotics; health teaching/counseling for patients; addressing patient needs and concerns; completing admissions, discharges, and transfers, and maintaining a safe and secure therapeutic environment. RNs also participate in staff education, maintaining infection control standards, and function as a member of a treatment team.

Minimum staffing requirements, including licenses and certifications: Must have a Registered Nurse license and current registration to practice nursing in New York State

-Background check requirements: Criminal background check will be required from vendor. SEL, SCR will be performed by HR.
-Vaccination requirements: TB Testing. Titers showing immunity to Measles and Rubella or proof of Two MMR vaccines. Varicella titers and Hepatitis B titer or vaccine record are strongly recommended. Flu vaccine needed during flu season, or masking may be required. Will need a pre-placement Health Screening from.
-OMH required training (This training will be provided by OMH): In addition to mandatory facility trainings, the agency staff will also receive department training and site-specific training.
The maximum allowable hours per position for the term of any authorized user agreement resulting from this RFQ are: 4,160 regular hours, 96 overtime hours, and 128 holiday hours. The maximum allowable hours are not guaranteed.
