Local Registered Nurse OR | $61 hourly pay | 40 hours/week

Job Details:
Specialty: Registered Nurse Operating Room
Schedule: 40 hours/week | Day Shift | The facility will consider:
✓ Five 8-hour shifts
✓ Four 10-hour shifts
✓ Two 8-hour shifts + two 12-hour shift
Shift: Starting at 6:30 AM
Contract Duration: 18 weeks
Dates: September 21, 2026 – January 24, 2027
On-Call: No

Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly 
Orientation Pay: Please note that the pay schedule is bi-weekly and during the orientation, you will be paid 50% of your pay rate. 

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide perioperative nursing care in a hospital surgical setting. The ideal candidate will have strong OR experience and the ability to work a flexible schedule while supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
✓ Provide nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process.
✓ Prepare patients, equipment, and operating rooms for surgical procedures.
✓ Assist with surgical procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.
✓ Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
✓ Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
✓ Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
✓ Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
✓ Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.

Qualifications/Initial Requirement
✓ Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or eligible compact license.
✓ Previous Operating Room/OR nursing experience required.
✓ BLS certification required.
✓ Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique.
✓ Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
✓ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
