Position Details
Surgical Assistant – Operating Room
NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (must reside outside 50-mile radius)
EKG Exam NOT required
Minimum 2 years of Surgical Assistant experience required
Prior travel experience strongly preferred
Robotics knowledge required, must be fully versed and able to set up and dock the robot
Must also be able to perform fully during procedures for robotic service lines (general, urology, colorectal, gyn)
Must be able to function as First Assist
Licensure & Certifications: BLS required; CSA or CSFA required prior to submission;
Licensed w/ Virginia Board of Medicine
Additional BSMH credentialing required to meet State of Virginia regulations
(contact ITO for details - $95 base BR + $1 for BSMH credentialing application) 
Schedule: 10 or 12-Hr Days
Call: Overnight two shifts per week and weekend call averaging two shifts
Interview Process: ITO interview; Hiring Manager conducts 2nd interview
