Job Summary

Physical Therapist (Inpatient), Florida. The position provides acute care physical therapy services for a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, stroke, cardiac, critical care, and general medical patients. Responsibilities include patient evaluation, care planning, treatment, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, education, and maintaining compliance with applicable licensure and professional practice standards.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Masters degree in Physical Therapy; active Florida Physical Therapist license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 1 year of acute care experience; intermediate computer skills; electronic medical record experience and successful completion of an electronic medical record assessment on the first day of the assignment.
• Schedule: Day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., generally weekdays, with occasional weekend shifts and schedule adjustments as needed; 8-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Provides initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations, develops and updates individualized plans of care, delivers treatment appropriate to patient age, culture, and diagnosis, and documents patient progress accurately and timely. The role includes patient and staff education, interdisciplinary communication, delegation within scope of practice, equipment and supply management, scheduling coordination, clinical environment oversight, and adherence to state licensure requirements and professional practice guidelines.
