Description

Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Experience Required: 1 year of ICU experience
Charting System: MEDITECH

Required Certifications:

Active RN license
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
PALS

Unit Details & Responsibilities:

8-bed ICU with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3
Care for cardiac and neurological patients
Manage and titrate IV drips
Interpret cardiac rhythms using Nihon Kohden monitors
Respiratory therapy manages ventilator care
Charge nurses also take patient assignments

Scheduling Requirements:

Rotating day/night shifts or straight nights, based on department needs
Every other weekend and every other holiday
Straight-night nurses may be asked to support other shifts based on staffing needs
Shift preferences, block scheduling, and time-off requests may be accommodated but are not guaranteed
No on-call requirements
No floating requirements
