Position Overview
Deliver targeted small-group instruction and in-class resource support to K–5 students, addressing literacy and other academic needs.
Use differentiated instructional strategies to support diverse learners, with an emphasis on foundational reading, writing, and dyslexia-related learning challenges.
Monitor student progress, identify instructional needs, and adapt teaching approaches to strengthen academic skills and support individualized learning goals.
Maintain accurate special education documentation and collaborate with general education teachers and the Special Education team to coordinate interventions and promote student growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification appropriate for grades K–5
Valid Elementary Generalist or applicable Content-Area Certification
Experience supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs; dyslexia experience preferred, along with knowledge of literacy instruction, differentiated teaching strategies, and special education documentation
