Title: Nurse Practitioner (Medical)

Job Type: Contract

Location: 2615 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085

Position Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner coordinates decision making with the internist, in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of psychiatric patients. The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to perform the medical needs clinical assessments and develop treatment plans. The team includes psychiatrists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, mental health technicians, social workers, therapists and educators. Be able to perform H&P 's and manage follow up medical care on inpatient patients. Have the ability to recognize own limitations and respond to difficult situations. Skillfully work in a self-motivated and independent manner. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members as well as clients.

Qualifications
icensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice License
Education: Completion of a Master’s Program in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a medical care facility

Additional Requirements: Comprehensive liability insurance, current CPR certification.
