Opportunity:

RRT NICU

Job Details:

• Level 3 NICU experience required
• Must have competency in Nitric Oxide (iNO), High Frequency Jet Ventilation, and Oscillator Ventilation
• Position will float between units
• No on-call required
• Every other weekend required per CBA
• Block schedules are not required
• Patient ratios are based on campus acuity
• 48-hour shifts are not approved
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Charting system experience required; Epic charting system
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• CRT will NOT be accepted for this position
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• Key clinical skills required include: Adult Critical Care, BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Nitric Oxide (iNO), NICU, Neonatal Transports, Oscillating Ventilator, Intubation Assist, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases, Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation, and Pediatrics
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start

This facility operates a Level 3 NICU with a comprehensive interdisciplinary support team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and a Unit Secretary. The facility serves a broad patient population ranging from neonates and infants to pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The organization maintains consistent scheduling practices and works to keep travelers on a regular schedule throughout their contract.
