BMT/ONC RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Aurora, Colorado.
- Rotating shifts; days of the week vary.
- 36 hours per week.
- 13-week contract.
Unit and patient population
- BMT Unit with 36 staffed beds.
- Cares for patients with blood cancers receiving chemo/biotherapies and cellular therapies such as stem cell transplants and CAR-T.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 3-4:1 and may flex based on staffing and unit needs.
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Bone Marrow Transplant experience within the last year.
- 1.5 years of Bone Marrow Transplant experience.
- Experience in an acute care setting.
- Chemotherapy administration experience.
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
- ONS/ONCC.
- Weekend availability per unit needs.
- First-time travelers are accepted if they have the required experience.
Float scope
- May float between the BMT/Onc and CTU units.
- May also float to sister facilities in the metro region based on facility needs.
Additional notes
- On-call is not required.
- Epic charting.
