Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring cardiovascular experience and a passing EKG test score.

Details

• Cardiovascular facility with a primary cardiovascular med/surg unit
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Floating required to any unit in an RN capacity, with expectation to take a full patient ratio
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; temporary licenses accepted if proof of permanent license application submission is provided
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred, American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including at least 1 travel contract
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on Day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment
• New graduates not accepted
• Two current professional references required from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant specialty area within the last year

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care within a cardiovascular-focused unit
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from employment for at least 12 months before being submitted as a traveler
• RTO for 13-week contracts limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Facility conducts a brief interview of approximately 10-15 minutes prior to placement
