Description
Work Schedule:
This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Pay:
• This position may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to our patients as a Rehabilitation Psychologist in a dynamic setting.
We are seeking a Rehabilitation Psychologist to:
- Provide inpatient hospital-based consultation / liaison services at UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital - this is a free standing, acute inpatient rehabilitation facility serving adults age 18+.
- Act as an integrated member of a collaborative interdisciplinary rehabilitation team with a focus on supporting adjustment to new onset illness and/or disability, as well as optimizing the patient’s ability to participate in and maximize their rehabilitation therapy. Consultations may also focus on assessment of the patient’s cognitive status to support treatment engagement, provision of education, and/or to address concerns with medical decision-making capacity. Typical consults include assessment and intervention with patients post stroke, traumatic or acquired brain injury (post brain tumor resection, hypoxic-ischemic injury), spinal cord injury, amputation, orthopedic injury / polytrauma, and support in the setting of premorbid disability or preexisting neurological disorder (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis).
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings to review patient status and provide treatment recommendations.

Qualifications
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or related field Required
Work Experience
1 year of post-doc experience in the area of Behavioral Health in a medical setting Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice Required
CPR/BLS within 6 months Required

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital – in Fitchburg - provides post-acute inpatient rehabilitation care in a free-standing rehab hospital. The hospital offers short-term inpatient rehabilitation services and education for people recovering from an injury or an illness and will specialize in helping patients regain their ability to perform daily tasks, regain cognitive processes and physical function, restore basic life skills and facilitate psychosocial adjustment and return to the community.
