Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MS/Tele Registered Nurse for a night-shift float position. The nurse will primarily work on the Medical-Surgical unit, with potential assignments to Telemetry, and must be willing to float to the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) and DOU as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Provide feeding tube care, initiate IVs, and administer oxygen therapy.
• Manage patients requiring non-invasive airway support and tracheostomy care.
• Perform wound care and manage Wound VAC therapy.
• Follow infection prevention and isolation precautions.
• Float to ARU and DOU as required, accepting patients within the nurse's scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Relevant Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management skills.
• Competency in the listed bedside nursing procedures.
• Willingness to work night shifts, every other weekend or more, and float to ARU and DOU.
