Responsibilities: Assesses/reassesses infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents, young adult, adult, and elderly patients and applies the nursing process as appropriate to: • Care of patients in emergent and/or non-emergent situations • Airway Management • Pain Management • Cardiac Monitoring • Invasive Monitoring • Specialized IV Drips/titration • Sedation • Assist with specialized procedures, i.e., Temp Pacemakers, Cardioversion, Defibrillation, chest tubes, care of fractures, assist with wound repair, etc. • Use specialized equipment in the care of emergency patients • Manages Code Blue in the Elliott building • Troubleshooting • COBRA/ EMTALA • IV Therapy • Infusion Therapy • Medication Administration • ECG Strip Analysis and Interpretation • “Time Out” • Discharge follow-up education care • Traumas’ • Information Management EDUCATION AND LICENSURE: Associate’s degree in nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. RN license required. CPR required BLS, ACLS, NIHSS EKG, TNCC, PALS required. 2 years experience required, 5 years preferred.
Travel Experience Required. Must have ER experience.
