Assistant Nurse Manager – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) | Direct Hire
Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire (Full-Time)
Location: White Plains, NY (Westchester County)
Shift / Schedule: Night Shift | 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Monday – Friday | 37.5 Hours/Week
Annual Salary: $129,465 – $168,032 (Dependent on clinical & leadership experience)
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, clinically strong Assistant Nurse Manager to oversee clinical operations, staff development, and quality patient care in our high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise night-shift ICU clinical operations, patient flow, and nurse-to-patient staffing assignments.
- Mentor and evaluate staff RNs, assist with onboarding/competencies, and promote a culture of safety and shared governance.
- Act as a clinical resource, periodically delivering direct critical care nursing as needed.
- Partner with Nursing Leadership and the Magnet Program Director to uphold evidence-based standards and Joint Commission safety goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered New York Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of relevant acute care critical care / ICU nursing experience; prior charge nurse or supervisory leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS required; AHA ACLS required. Specialty certification (CCRN or CNML) preferred (or obtained within 3 years of hire).
