Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Step Down Unit Festus, MO. This position provides nursing care for patients in a cardiac step-down setting, including neuro and medical-surgical patients. The role supports coordinated, patient-centered care while maintaining professional accountability, patient rights, and confidentiality.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse license eligible for the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; at least one year of step-down experience; seasonal influenza vaccination required from November 1 through April 1, with no declinations or exceptions accepted.
• Schedule: Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage rotates every other week, and call is required.
• Additional Information: Provides care using the nursing process; evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers; coordinates patient care with other departments; maintains patient rights and confidentiality; and performs responsibilities in accordance with professional standards. The role requires teamwork, versatility, flexibility, and excellent communication. Black scrubs are required.
