Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist. This position supports diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures for adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, preparing patients, maintaining sterile technique, documenting procedures, and supporting safe, efficient procedural care.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; two years of experience as a Cardiac Invasive Technologist with diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral interventional procedures; expertise with catheters, wires, stents, and procedural supplies; ability to take ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) call.
Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Assists physicians with diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral interventional cardiovascular procedures. Functions as a case recorder, cardiac circulator, and scrub assistant. Prepares patients for examinations, reports clinical changes to the registered nurse or physician, performs point-of-care testing according to Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines, documents procedures in the medical record, reports equipment malfunctions, replenishes supplies, and maintains sterile procedures and infection prevention standards. On-call responsibilities include one 24-hour weekend call day per month, three weeknight call shifts per month, and one holiday call assignment when applicable.
