Outpatient Surgery RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Covington, Louisiana
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Outpatient Surgery (1 year of experience)
- Outpatient Surgery experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Role Details
- Outpatient Surgery RN providing care for patients undergoing surgical, endoscopy (ENDO), and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Responsibilities include Pre-Operative (Pre-Op) care and Phase II Post-Operative recovery care
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures, including surgical attire, lab verification, vital signs, pre-op assessments, and consent verification
- Provide Phase II recovery care, including vital sign monitoring, post-op assessments, discharge education, dressing assistance, and discharge readiness verification
