Respiratory Therapist, PEDS Milwaukee, WI. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients within a specialized healthcare facility. The role includes evaluating patient needs, administering treatments, operating ventilatory equipment, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certification in Respiratory Therapist (Registered) with no minimum years of experience required.
- Location: Milwaukee, WI.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include operating ventilatory equipment, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, conducting pulmonary function studies, assisting with bedside procedures, monitoring patient status, and maintaining accurate documentation of treatments.
- Tasks also involve performing arterial punctures, chest x-ray review, cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines, insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes, and ventilator management.
- Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with medical staff concerning treatment responses and patient care, along with maintaining equipment and record accuracy.
- Additional information: This position requires no prior experience but emphasizes clinical competence and safety in pediatric respiratory care.
