PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation SCDPosition Overview:
Performs the duties of quality assurance, calibration, repair, and if necessary, communication with outside vendors in relation to repairs of radiation therapy equipment. Communicates and collaborates with the appropriate radiation oncology team about equipment status and develops a mutual plan of action when equipment downtime is known and/or anticipated. Performs any other duties that may be deemed necessary for the optimal performance of the Department of Physics. Radiation therapy treatments are performed on a daily basis, as such principal functions including, but not limited to, calibration, quality assurance, etc. are to be done after normal business hours.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Radiological Physics or other physics, chemistry or engineering discipline or equivalent education/experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Ability to work with sophisticated computer based analysis equipment.
Troubleshooting abilities with radiation oncology equipment.
Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
Sufficient knowledge of math concepts as related to Radiation to support team.

Pay Range is $84.23 to $134.77 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
