Behavioral Health LVN/LPN – Variable Shifts
📍 Location: Corpus Christi, TX
📅 Start Date: 9/16
⏳ Contract: 24 weeks minimum
🕐 Shifts: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
📋 Schedule: 5×8s | 40 hours/week
💰 Weekly Gross: Up to $1,600/week travel | $1,540/week local
Position Details
Seeking an experienced LVN/LPN to provide nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.
- 40 hours guaranteed per week
- Must be flexible to work 16-hour shifts when needed
- Shifts may alternate based on staffing needs
- Every 3rd weekend off on a rotational schedule
- Patient ratios are generally 9–10 patients, depending on acuity and functioning level
- Infirmary assignments have approximately 15 patients with 3–4 RNs and a charge nurse
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and support
- Administer medications and treatments
- Provide medication education
- Complete required documentation
- Perform nursing assessments and other basic and complex nursing tasks
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, support staff, providers, and patients
- Computer documentation/data entry with training provided
Requirements
- Active Texas LVN/LPN License
- 1+ year of direct-care nursing experience; 2+ years preferred
- Experience managing a larger medication pass
- Experience in nursing homes, skilled nursing, acute care, or similar settings preferred
- Strong experience with advanced skills such as:
- G-tubes/enteral feedings
- Foley catheters
- Tracheostomies
- Other complex nursing care
- Current CPR certification
- Must be able to successfully complete required background and drug screening

💰 Travel Pay Package
40 hours/week
- $15/hr taxable
- $1,000/week housing stipend
- $1,600 gross/week
💰 Local Pay Package
40 hours/week
- $38.50/hr
- $1,540 gross/week
Orientation: Approximately 6 weeks total, including classroom education, nursing training, and preceptor/on-the-job training. Orientation is held on the 1st and 16th business day of each month, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
