Description
Serves as technical consultant and direct supervisor of laboratory personnel and manages the performance of all laboratory testing. Develops and maintains policies, standards and quality control practices and oversees lab safety and maintenance. Serves as a resource medical technologist in assigned section and has the responsibility/authority to assure that the laboratory meets all accreditation requirements and applicable OSHA standards. This position is represented by UFCW.?
Requirements
Day Shift, 4 x 10s. Days will be consecutive. 0800 to 1630. 5 years of experience preferred. EPIC experience preferred. Sr CLS or Lead CLS experience preferred.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent: Required
- Five years' clinical laboratory experience: Preferred
- Two years' leadership experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of employment: Required in CA
- Current certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA): Preferred
