Description

We are seeking ICU RNs - Registered Nurses. This person will provide specialized care for critical patients as well as focus on patient treatment and recovery.

Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others.

Responsibilities & Duties

Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards
Assesses and evaluates patient care needs and applies critical thinking skills in patient care management
Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
Prioritizes all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning “after hospital care” and delegating to others as appropriate.
Demonstrates patient focused and cost effective approaches to patient care in terms of equipment, staff, supplies and all other resources
Assist physicians in performing special procedures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care
Identify potential patient problems and take appropriate measures to intervene
Maintain a high level of expertise in critical care nursing techniques
Monitor and safeguard patient quality of care
Ensure complete and accurate patient records
Qualifications:

Registered Professional Nurse currently registered to practice in New York State.
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
NYS RN License BLS, ACLS 2 years of critical care/intensive care nursing experience, ICU experience
Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
Ability to build rapport with patients
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work well in teams
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
