Job Summary
Radiation Therapist (RTT) Location unspecified. This role involves delivering radiation treatments under the supervision of a radiation oncologist, performing simulation procedures, and ensuring accurate treatment delivery. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with patients and medical staff during treatment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Completion of a formal radiation therapy technology program in a JRCERT-accredited institution, with a minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ARRT Certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pennsylvania Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
• Responsibilities include performing treatment, simulation, fabrication of immobilization devices and shielding, radiosurgery, and brachytherapy procedures; collecting and documenting data during simulation; inputting treatment-related data; ensuring safety and quality of treatment delivery; taking portal images; explaining procedures to patients; taking localization images; assisting with contrast agents; monitoring patient reactions; maintaining infection control and safety in the treatment room; and demonstrating effective communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Varian equipment and treatment of patients.
• Additional Information: Shift hours are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., split shifts as needed for early or late. No call requirements or weekend shifts. On-site free parking is available.
