Floating Requirements: Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, any Freestanding ED within Region, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)

Unit Information:

• Average patients/day: 170

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years Respiratory Therapy exp
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Infant - Geriatric

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (Resource Team requirements)
• RRT
• NC Licensure

Skills required:

• All aspects of Adult Critical Care Required
• Pediatrics and Infant Care Preferred

Support within the Department:

• Departmental Leadership
• Hospitalist 24/7: Yes
• Intensivist 24/7: No, Virtual Critical Care after hours

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Monitors: Masimo

Unit specific equipment:

• Servo I Ventilator
• Trilogy Ventilator
• Servo Air BIPAP
• ABL Blood Gas Analyzers
• Bubble CPAP

Floating:

• Will be required to float per Region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
  • Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, any Freestanding ED within Region, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)
  • If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)

Orientation (facility and unit):

• NEO
• 2 days departmental

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every other
• No call
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
• Shift times: 7a-7p & 7p-7a
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
