Position Overview
Providence is seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an outpatient locum tenens assignment. This is a 3-day-per-week clinic schedule with 8 guaranteed hours per day and potential for a 6-month contract with extension.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage outpatient cardiology patients
- Perform and interpret EKGs
- Provide/sign off on cardiac device checks
- Provide on-campus supervision for echo and nuclear exercise stress testing
- Supervise outpatient cardiac stress testing performed by cardiac device technicians
- See approximately 12 patients per shift
- Collaborate with RNs, MAs, and office staff
- No inpatient admissions or admitted privileges required
Requirements
- Active Oregon license
- Board Certified
- DEA required
- BLS & ACLS required
- Cardiology/APP experience preferred
- Ability to obtain outpatient hospital privileges
- Estimated credentialing: ~90 days
