ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Vascular Access Team (12H Rotating) in Burlington, Vermont.

This is a 16-26 week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The position requires 12-hour rotating shifts, primarily days but flexible to nights as needed, with every other weekend required. Typically, RNs will work one week of nights followed by a week of days, with the possibility of mid-week rotations. The unit strives to provide adequate time off between rotations, typically 48 hours.

Job Description

The Vascular Access Team is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their dedicated staff. The ideal candidate will have strong IV access capabilities and experience in a large trauma level 1 setting. Responsibilities include assessing and managing PICC lines, completing dressing changes, administering TPA as needed, and troubleshooting PIV and PICC lines.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage PICC lines, including dressing changes and administration of TPA.
• Place and troubleshoot peripheral IVs, PICC lines, and ports.
• Draw blood as needed and assist in accessing and flushing ports.
• Provide high-quality vascular access care in accordance with facility standards.

Required Experience

• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular access specialization.
• IV ultrasound guidance experience is a must.
• Experience in a large trauma level 1 setting within the last year.
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is nonnegotiable.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• AVA certification is preferred.
