Job Shift: Days
Job Type: Full Time
Transports adult and pediatric patients, Sets up orthopedic equipment, takes directives and provides assistance to surgeons with regard to casting and traction applications. Sets up plaster carts and assists with room turnover in the O.R. Assists with all duties as evidenced in the OR Assistant job description.
- Transports adult and pediatric patients to the O.R. and post-operatively as requeste
- Assists with Surgical Services room turnover
- Restocks department throughout the day
- Performs errands as directed.
- Applies cast, traction and orthopedic equipment to patients throughout the facility, as ordered by physician.
EDUCATION:
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: CNA, EMT, Nursing Student, Ortho Tech
EXPERIENCE:
Previous Operating Room experience preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
American Heart Association BLS certification
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
None required.
