Job Description

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Urbana, IL. The RN will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED environment, utilizing the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer interventions, and continuously evaluate patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in the Emergency Department
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Provide nursing interventions based on patient needs
• Monitor and continuously evaluate patient condition
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare staff, patients, and families
• Promote patient and staff safety
• Follow ED-specific nursing procedures and standards
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Participate in departmental competencies and professional development

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• Emergency Room / Emergency Department experience
• EPIC experience required
• ASN required
• BSN preferred
• Active Illinois RN License in good standing
• BLS – AHA
• ACLS – AHA
• PALS – AHA
• TNCC highly preferred
• Trauma Level II or higher experience preferred
