We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Telemetry unit. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to patients with life-threatening multisystem and cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor vasoactive drug therapy.
• Provide antiarrhythmic drug therapy and thrombolytic therapy as needed.
• Perform defibrillation and cardioversion procedures.
• Conduct thoracentesis and maintain cardiac telemetry monitoring.
• Utilize EKG and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring techniques.

Patient Population:

The patient population includes adults experiencing serious cardiovascular conditions such as:

• Sepsis
• Myocardial Infarction (MI)
• Unstable Angina
• Coronary Artery Disease
• Patients requiring IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation.

Work Schedule:

The position requires night shifts, with a schedule of 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend coverage will be required every other weekend, subject to change based on departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in acute care, preferably in cardiac telemetry.
• First-time travelers may be considered based on overall experience.

Additional Requirements:

Candidates must be willing to float to similar units or other facilities depending on the needs of the organization.
