This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
Schedule requirements include alternating days off, 1-2 call days per week with a 30-minute response time, and every third or fourth weekend. Weekend coverage is from Friday 4:30 PM until Monday 6:00 AM. Holidays may be required as needed.
Job Description
The Certified Surgical Technologist will support a Level I trauma center with open-heart experiences, including caring for COVID patients. The position requires knowledge of the EPIC charting system and the ability to follow aseptic techniques in the operating room environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with surgical procedures in the CVOR.
- Ensure the sterile field is maintained during surgical procedures.
- Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment relevant to surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective workflow during surgeries.
- Participate in post-operative care and preparing the operating room for subsequent procedures.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR.
- Experience in a Level I trauma center is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- NBSTSA certification is required.
- BLS certification is required.
- EPIC experience is required.
