Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit, Battle Creek Kalamazoo: Provides direct nursing care for patients in a rehabilitation setting while supporting individualized care plans, patient education, safety, and discharge planning. The role includes supervising ancillary nursing personnel, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and promoting quality patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two years of bedside clinical experience preferred. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift for applicable assignments.
• Responsibilities: Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, document patient information and responses, participate in rehabilitation programming, provide patient and family education, initiate discharge planning, communicate changes in patient status, delegate and supervise ancillary nursing personnel, support patient and employee safety, and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Additional Information: The Registered Nurse supports interdisciplinary team conferences, coordinates continuity of care, provides direction and training to nursing personnel, assumes charge responsibilities following orientation when requested, and helps maintain a safe, positive, and efficient care environment.
