Title: Echo Tech
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Contract: 13 Week assignment
Shift: 5x 8-hour DAY shifts | weekend rotation and call required

The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma Center at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, an internationally recognized training and research center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & MCW health network, which includes five hospitals, more than 1,700 physicians and nearly 40 health centers and clinics, draws patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation.

The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing Transthoracic echocardiograms setting up and assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms and under the direction of a trained echocardiographer setting up and performing exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms to the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and Froedtert Hospital. This individual demonstrates increasing competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. Other duties as assigned.

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of a min of 2 years education at an accredited School of Nursing - Required

Completion of a two-year Allied Health degree and successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved School of Ultrasound Technology or Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent education. Work requires sufficient education/training to acquire American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification in cardiac ultrasound Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). Previous health care related such as CNA EMT PCA or other is preferred.
