Description
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in neuro, ortho, and trauma surgical cases, with the ability to scrub and/or circulate.
Job Details
- Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
- Shift Length: 10 or 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years
- Certifications: BLS Certification required
Shift Information
- Available Shifts: 7 AM to 5 PM, 7 AM to 7 PM
- Weekend rotation and call responsibilities as determined by the manager
- Travelers will work weekend shifts of 12 hours in rotation with staff
- Weekday shifts may include 8-hour assignments in rotation
Unit Overview
- Number of Suites: 23
- Average Number of Cases Per Day: 75
- Common Procedures Include: Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac, Exploratory Laparotomies
Requirements
- Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
- Experience in scrubbing and circulating for neuro, ortho, and trauma cases is a plus
- Must be available for weekends and on-call shifts as needed
Call Expectations
- All travelers are expected to take the same call requirements as permanent staff
- Call response time is 45 minutes
- Each traveler is to fulfill assigned call shifts based on a rotation schedule
Additional Information
- Self-scheduling is available within reasonable limits; block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Hospital issued scrub color/dress code will be provided
