Quick Job Summary – Vascular Tech
- Setting: Acute Care – Vascular Surgery
- Shift: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Experience: 2+ years
- License: Required to submit; confirm state-specific licensing requirements
- Certifications: BLS and RVT through ARDMS
- EMR/PACS: Epic and Sectra
- Department: 3 vascular rooms
- Patient Volume: Approximately 9 studies/day, typically 6–8 patients due to multiple studies
- Studies Performed: ABI, carotid, upper/lower arterial and venous duplex, venous insufficiency, aortoiliac, iliocaval, renal, mesenteric, pre-op hemodialysis mapping, and dialysis access (fistula/graft)
- Required Skills: Complex vascular pathology, post-surgical vascular scanning, fistulas and dialysis access grafts, reviewing patient history and prior scans, identifying significant changes and reporting critical findings
- Schedule Options: Five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
- Weekends/Holidays: None
- Call: None

- Orientation: 12 hours
- Minimum Requirements: 2+ years of vascular ultrasound experience, RVT certification through ARDMS, BLS, proficiency in complex vascular studies and dialysis access scanning, and ability to recognize and report critical findings.
