Opportunity:
Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech
Job Details:
• Day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• On-call required: 8-10 call shifts per month including weekend coverage
• 2 cath lab rooms
• Perform procedures including Pediatric/Adult Transplant, Right/Left Heart Biopsy, Balloon, Stent, and Valve Placement
• Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures may also be included, preferably with pediatric experience
• Experience with congenital heart patients preferred
• Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab experience preferred; EP experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association only)
• CCI with RCIS/RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also acceptable
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
• Charting system: EPIC
• Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
• Block schedule considered at manager's discretion
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission
• Travelers should be aware that all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November; peak months August and September)
Facility:
This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 865 total staffed beds. It operates a two-room Pediatric Cath Lab providing specialized cardiac care including complex congenital heart procedures, transplant care, and interventional services. The facility uses EPIC for charting and maintains high standards of patient care across its departments.
