Opportunity:
RN - Medical Surgical / Cardiac Telemetry / Stroke Neuro / Step-Down ICU / ICU
Job Details:
• Float between Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and ICU units as needed
• ICU experience required with ability to float down to Medical Surgical when needed
• Extensive cardiac experience required
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Document according to standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating to the appropriate chain of command when necessary
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
• Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS
• Current Illinois (IL) nursing license required
