Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location:

Beachside, City and State

Shift:

Day shift, 5 days a week (07:00 AM - 03:30 PM)

Patient Ratios:

• Days: 1:2
• Nights: 1:1
• Weekends: 1:1

Responsibilities:

• Perform various nuclear medicine procedures including but not limited to:
• Bone Scans (3-Phase, Limited, Whole Body)
• Ventricular and Myocardial Imaging (including Adenosine Infusion, Exercise/Rest protocols)
• Thyroid Studies and Cancer Surveys
• Renal Flow and Function Studies using Captopril and Lasix
• Brain and Lung Scans (Cerebral Blood Flow and Ventilation/Perfusion)
• Lymphoscintigraphy (performing tracer injections)
• Maintain and start IVs for patient procedures.
• Utilize various imaging equipment, preferably Phillips models.
• Provide excellent patient care and support during procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NMTCB, ARRT.
• Community hospital experience is required.
• Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic.
• Must be able to perform lymphoscintigraphy studies.

Call Requirements:

On-call coverage is required during the following times:

• Weekdays: 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Weekends and Holidays: 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM

Patient Demographics:

• Primarily Adults and Geriatrics; Adolescents preferred.

Work Environment:

This position involves rotating call coverage and may require floating between like units. A collaborative approach with interdisciplinary support services is essential in providing patient care.
