Position: Registered Nurse - CVOR

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our CVOR team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular operating room procedures and a strong commitment to patient care.

• Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
• Requirements: 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend and Evening Call Required

Certifications

• Required: BLS
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CNOR

Skills and Experience

Preferred skills include:

• Vascular Surgery
• Cardiovascular Procedures including CABG, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, and Mitral Valve Replacement
• Robotics and Minimally Invasive Techniques
• General Surgery Procedures such as Appendectomy and Cholecystectomy

Work Environment

This position will be primarily in the CVOR, with opportunities to float to the General OR as needed. The hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with a focus on providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population.

Patient Demographics

This role will involve working with patients across multiple age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Unit Information

Common procedures performed include:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
• Minimally Invasive Cardiac Procedures
• Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS)
• Mediastinoscopy and Pericardial Window procedures

Additional Information

The role includes a comprehensive orientation of 40 hours, with guaranteed hours of 70 hours per 2-week period. The hospital provides free parking for staff.
