Position: Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with the required skills and experience to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.

Key Details:

• Travel Experience Required: No, but candidates with experience in more than one facility are preferred.
• Experience Level: Minimum of 2 years required.
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:00 - 15:00).
• Patient Ratios: 1 therapist per 2 patients.

Qualifications:

• Certification preferred in ARRT T, BLS, and state licensing.
• Preferred experience with charting systems, particularly Epic.
• Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Experience with various treatment procedures for cancer diagnoses, including:
• Benign Brain Tumors
• Craniospinal Treatments
• External Beam Therapy
• Prostate Cancer Treatments
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery
• Knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work with clinical technology such as Elekta Infinity and Elekta Versa HD.

Work Environment:

• Patient demographic: Adults and Geriatrics.
• Average daily census: Approximately 50 scheduled patients.
• Working in a teaching hospital setting with interdisciplinary support from IV teams, respiratory services, and more.

Additional Information:

• Special Equipment Used: Maxi move, Hoyer lift, Sara Stedy, hover mat.
• Potential for weekend shifts based on staffing needs.
• Orientation hours: 40.
• Parking: No fee for staff parking.
